Ingredients
- 1 cup Avani Fresh Besan(gram flour)
- 1/4 cup rice flour
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon red chili powder
- 1/4 teaspoon cumin powder
- 1/4 teaspoon coriander powder
- 1/4 teaspoon turmeric powder
- 1/4 teaspoon baking soda
- 1/4 cup cold water
- 1/4 cup ice water
- 1 cup sliced vegetables ( Carrots sliced Potatoes sliced Onions sliced Bell Pepper sliced )
- Oil for frying
Instructions
- In a large bowl, combine the gram flour, rice flour, salt, red chili powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, and baking soda.
- Add the cold water and ice water, stirring until the batter is thick.
- Add the sliced vegetables and stir to combine.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan over medium heat.
- Drop slices of vegetables covered in batter into the hot oil and fry until golden brown and cooked through.
- Remove the pakoras from the pan and drain on paper towels.
- Serve hot with your favorite chutney.
Tips
- For crispier pakoras, use ice water when making the batter.
- Don't overcrowd the pan when frying the pakoras, or they will not cook evenly.
